Well, no turning back now! :29:

I drilled holes in my tailgate and mounted the B U I C K letters, the Limited script and the lock cover.

I am happy with the results, but I kind of screwed up when drilling the holes for the lock cover...OOPS! :slap:
Oh well, I will fix that and no one will ever know. Shhh. :biglaugh:

After all that hard work, it had to have been hard taking a drill to it! You are very courageous, which is a good thing, because the end result looks great.

Very tasteful decision to put the BUICK letters a bit higher than original and just above the horizontal 'Electra trunk' line. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

I have missed this thread until today. Great concept and work. It is really shaping up in to a great custom. Did you start work on this in November when the thread started, or earlier than that?

Hey dot! Glad you like it!

I bought the wagon in June, got it delivered from CA to TX in July.
Bought my parts coupe from Denver in August.
I, then, began the project in October.:smash:

By the end of October, I had the wagon completely turned from a pillared 4-door into a hardtop coupe. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

I began this thread in November, but I really wasn't sure of how it would be received on this forum.

The response has been overwhelmingly positive, and that has made me feel so great. :yahoo:

This has been the most enjoyable car project I've ever done, and I think it is in a big way, because of this forum, and all you guys! :bouncy:

    David :)

Wix, you are coiming along nicely. I love that back tailgate. Looks factory! You definitely have great vision for your wagon. Paint it factory colors and the average person would think it came from the factory that way. Can't wait to see her finished. Great job!

    "woo-whoooo!"

    David,

I've been away too long! The progress you've made and the quality is just stunning. I second everyone's thoughts... can't wait to see more!
On a side note... does your wagon have dual exhaust? Not to hijack... just wondering how it looks. Again, AWESOME work.

Hey Adam, thanks for the complement!

I have only the single exhaust. It exits out the LH rear side.

As long as this thread is hijacked, I have been meaning to post that my 455 in the wagon really feels like a rocket, with that side exhaust, it takes of with thrust! does Buick offer that feature???
