Hi everyone !!! I have a great old 1977 Chrysler Town and Country but I need a bunch of parts to bring her back to her gleaming hugeness .. and man is she huge ... her Name is Betty Lou and she's been in my family since she was new.
john your not alone in your lust for largeness theres a few Mopar gurus on here...ya never know...they may be able to help you find stuff. what are you in need of ??
to the wagon train, jk56. Name seems familiar. Was that not you that was selling the yellow 77 T&C on eBay? EDIT: Yup...just saw your pic of the car. That's the one you were selling on eBay. Nice car. First, I thought it went to Brussels. Then it came back on again with a serious price hike. I talked to you at length about this car and had a lot of discussion here about it with the forum guys. I was finally going to jump in when it was taken down and went through the above changes. I would have liked to have had the car but, in the end, your price was too high for me. Nice wagon, though.
Hi Silver Fox Of course I remember the EBay ordeal ... I'm so glad now that I didn't sell the car to that Jerk in Brussels ... I've done some more work on Betty Lou since I had that " I Want To Sell Betty Lou" Brain Fart, and she's almost perfect ... I just need a few more parts and she'll be the love that I've always envisioned she could be ... lol johnyk
Oh, Betty Lou Who would you sell it too She's a fine machine that has vavoom No derby for her, no going kaboom Just purrs like a kitten Boy are you smitten. Yea I'm no poet.
Nice ride, Johnyk. Love the styling of that '77, particularly the front end. Wonder if I could park my Focus behind your front seat.......... Welcome to the forum. And by the way.........how much room and board are the Redwoods charging you? Marshall
WOW what a beautiful car! Betty Lou huh? If that girl was mine I would name her the " SS ENTERPRISE" wher about do you live in the redwoods? You may be my neighbor. Welcome again Rick
Thank you for the warm Welcome!!!! I live close to a town called Eureka ... yeah its up there ... far behind the Redwood Curtain ... and yes they grow EVERYTHING up here ... last year I accidentally dropped a few tomato seeds on my porch ... this year I have tomatoes growing on my porch ... maybe that's why so many "GROWERS" live up here. Ok back to cars ... I need help locating the weather stripping piece that goes on the bottom of the tailgate window ... I don't even know that they are called they ride the edge of the tailgate where the window retracts into the tailgate and they hold back any rain from dripping into the tailgate ... what are they called and where do I get them? johnk
John, I just posted a bunch of Mopar specific links for weatherstripping in here. Your part name is often called window channel or window wipes. http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8766
WELCOME JOHNY56, I'm ah newby too but startin' tah have fun here Is the rubber strip you're talking about attached the inside of the outer gate skin or the bottom of the steel frame bracket that moves with the glass? Mother switch horses somewhere in that time period I think. BTW Norm, The T&Cs might not be the Mother of all wagonz, the jury iz still out on that one. But theirs no doubt they're the mother of ALLLLL MINIVANZ! WAGONS HO, Jer
Welcome Johny. I'm lovin your T&C and you're right; Betty Lou is one large wagon, but she carries it oh so well. Welcome.
