Hi all. My name is Scott. I stumbled on this forum while searching, unsucessfully I might add, for a fuel tank for my car. First, a little about myself. I was born in and have lived all my life in NJ except for the period while I was in the service. (1983-86) Always had a soft spot for wagons, having learned to drive and taking my road test in one. That was my mother's 1974 or 75 LTD Country Squire. My fater also had a 69 Country Squire at the time. I became a Mopar guy after that and owned a few. Sorry I got rid of my first, a 1971 Super Bee. I wanted to get back in the Mopar game and came across this cool wagon project so I bought it. Still needs some work but the bodywork is done. It has a 383 and an auto trans on the floor. Got new wheels coming this week. Lotta good that'll do when the car has a foot of snow on it. LOL Anyway, here's a couple pics.
Ok a guy that loves wagons, is into WWII aircraft, and is close. Dude we have to meet. We have to get your wagon and my wife's together to take some pics. Welcome to the forum.
Love the WW2 planes. P40, P51, BF109, JU87....oh so cool. I wish I were rich. I always tell my g/f that if either of us hits the lottery I am getting a P51. God, they are like 1.5 mil and up now. Wagon should be road worthy by spring or early summer. Thank you, Silver.
Welcome, Stuka. IIRC, we had your wagon profiled in our 'Auction - E-Bay' section a while back......... http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=16 What does your wagon need to get on the road? Marshall
Thanks. I couldn't find the thread. Was it filled with, "hey look at this pile" or "what the h&ll is going on with this thing?" The gas tank has a small leak. New tires and wheels. That'll get it moving. Should look at brakes too. Has a single exhaust, so a dual is on the list.
Scott, I saw your first post and figured The Stickman would spot it right away. That is one hot-looking Mopar wagon. Glad you came.
If you love warbirds you should make a trip over to Reading Pa, to the Mid-Atlantic air museum. They are restoring what will be the only air worthy P-61 Black Widow. They also have a pretty nice WWII encampment/Airshow. We are doing the wife's car up in a warbird theme. We are going to add a bomber girl, and maybe a P-40 sharks mouth on the nose and or a Flying Tigers logo on the rear.
Hey thanks. No, it is different from the car tank. It appears no one makes a repro for it. Seems odd to me that they don't, but who knows why?
Stickman, your wife's wagon is off the hook. I like it a lot. I have been meaning to get to Reading. Maybe this spring or summer.
