    Welcome to the forum, Mick!
I don't think I remember seeing a Squire in Australia. Nice modifications you have done to it as well. I'm very familiar with '63 Falcons, having learned to drive on one (in California) in 1967.

Welcome aboard. The Falcon Squire has to be a pretty rare Australian model. They only made the Squire for one or two years as I recall. I've seen a 1/43 scale diecast model of the Aussie Falcon Squire, and theres an old surfing movie from the 60's called "Endless Summer" that has an Aussie Squire wagon in a brief scene, but I've never seen one in person. I plieve the Australian Falcon wagons were shorter in over all length than the American Falcon wagons.

Hi again. Thanks for the warm and friendly welcome. Am new to Forum chats, so please be patient.

I am not exactly sure, but the 'wood panelling' seems to be much like 'contact paper' for books etc. ... Is it still available somewhere?

There are very few Squires in Australia, yes.

    Cheers,
    Mick

Go to the sub-forum on cosmetic and restoration and then to wood paneling. I think what you're looking for is under the thread Di-Noc.
Falcons, I believe had black horizontal lines on the woodgrain to simulate the look of individual wooden boards. If you don't find wood grain with the black lines then you may have to either paint or use tape to recreate the black pin stripes on the wood grain. And yes, it is basically a very large adhesive backed decal like shelf paper.

There are still companies that make the correct wood pattern for your car. I just ran into a guy the other day that got some with the lines if that's correct for your wagon.

Yeah....I'm not sure it's the right pattern for that wagon either. Should be easy to find out what is the correct one.

Not having a woody wagon myself, I've never had to go through this process. How would you find out what the correct woodgrain would be for a 63 Falcon wagon, and if the correct wood grain is available? Would it really be easy? I wouldn't know where to start.

    Cheers Jim,
Thanks for the URL on woodgrain :) . Good luck with your search for that Belvedere II. I like the older Mopars too, but have only driven them on Playstation ;)

    Thanks again,
    Mick

Through your wagons specific clubs, through dealers that sell the stuff, at shows, possibly from Ford or whatever your car is, etc. May even be a code for it on the car.

Glad to help. But as Silverfox confirmed, I don't know if its the correct woodgrain for a Falcon, though it might be close. Good luck with the restoration.
