Hi all- Thanks for the website. The 64 pictured is my project, but I'm currently looking for an LT1 Roadmaster for a driver.
Welcome to the Forums. I like Chevelle wagons. Of course I seem to like all wagons but I really like Chevelle wagons.
I got the 64 early last summer. It's going together as a kinda SS knockoff. Bucket seats and factory console in the front, Malibu trim removed and a silver stripe where the SS trim would've gone if they'd ever made one. A mild 327 (9.5-1 cr, comp cam 262,) that's almost done, just looking for an early style aluminum intake with the oil breather in front so it looks 60's. Otherwise, original color repaint, and original type interior. Most likely 67 style Rally wheels painted body color. Oh, yeah- and two baby seats strapped in the back for the twins- got to bring em up right, learning to shift for themselves!
You've got some swap meets coming up just about now. This weekend in Puyallup, Portland Apr 9-10, Mt. Vernon on the 17th of April, and of course for me the cream of the meets, Monroe on May 15-16. Locating your manifold there if none of the others work for you, should be an easy find. Pics of the build out would be great.......
I won't make Pew-a-loop tomorrow, and I don't think my Dad could tell an sbc intake from a wedge crossram. He'll be looking for really old rust (teens and twenties is his era of automobile). But, I am gonna try to make Portland this year (my fave). I'll get some shots of the wag in progress and get them up.
I don't have the legs or lungs for Portland. Just WAY too big for this cowboy. Monroe does me in. Good luck with your search. There's a guy in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan who is big into teens and twenties stuff if you want his contact info. He buys stuff at farm auctions, etc. Come to think of it I should ask him if he knows of any wagooons.....
