All of my other underside shots turned out to dark or blurry, when it's home I'll get it up in the air for better pics...bottom of the tail gate pic also to dark to see, bummer about taking pics in the rain.

That would be cool if you knew of this parts car. I've been looking online for "stuff"....I mite aswell try to find a needle in the Pacific! But I had to have/save it As I mentioned the only things that were not to be found/missing are both chrome pieces around the tail lites (you can see this in my sig pic), the drivers side rear quarter side lens and a piece from the dash for a radio.Dash is shot and some other pieces are not in the best condition but they are all there.

Rev, If you would have seen it I'm sure you would have snagged it also. It is a very very solid 99% complete car, just neglected. I know it's rare and SH**, even if it ends up getting parked in my barn for ever at least it's condition won't get worse.

On another note...our wagon friend Suzie came by for a visit today http://stationwagonforums.com/forums/gallery/showimage.php?i=5209&c=7 She had a 71 4 door Crown sedan in the late 70's...when I mentioned motor swap with her she was all for it she swore the stock drive train would be the most gut less gas pig. Hmmm, a 22RE is sounding better all the time.

 

actually...that isnt a bad motor...power wise...but a turbo'd 22 would be much more fun

Congratulations Fat Tedy. I'm psyched for you; definitely a very rare wagon in unquestionably restorable condition. I'm guessing the Crown wagon was the top of the line for Toyota back in '71. So cool it has a lighter in the back; you can't even get an ash tray nowadays, let alone a lighter. Best of luck.

82 Caprice, go for it. You're right. Caprice was the big seller back then, not many Impalas as I recall. It's not a long roof, but it's still an interesting car.
