The frequent posters are suffering from Wagon LOVE. The newbies have to get some tips and parts info from here, then scrape their knuckles on a hot manifold, and get the wagon project moving ahead, fighting the home budget and the practical wife, then they come back and make it sound easy, artful and savvy. WAGON LOVE!:biglaugh:

Sure we get the odd, hit-and-run newbies, but overall, those that stay and play have enough bodyfill in their veins that they can expand the knowledgebase.

Take JimCuda and KK, these guys add more wagon links weekly than anyone did before! And the old-skool guys keep popping in, dropping a tune-up gem or some fine pics of some of their work that inspire. Like this guy's Imperials and Fords:

What do you want ... wagons are relitively speaking cheap. You wont pay Barrett-jackson prices for a wagon. someone gets a wagon and knows next to nothing about it, so they google it and the forum comes up. So here we are

So, like, who gives out those kinds of gifts? It certainly isn't the Santa I remember. I can see though why some members might feel a bit awkward about getting one of those as a gift. Then again there are others who would  to who ever was handing them out I suppose.

I'm just glad I am WAY up here in Canada where we just don't do that kind of thing. Not with a Rev living just down the way from me at least:rofl2:
