Nice wagon L413. Sure is straight. Glad you found the site. Gosh, a wagon of that size, with the trailer package including a very vintage brake controller, I can't help but visualize it with a similar year Airstream Land Yacht in tow in years past. (Not that I'm fixated on towing vintage Airstreams with vintage wagons). We are seeing more of these on the highways again as people realize that they are really nice highway cars and fun to travel in. Barry
Yeah, you got it. I should have that one. Damn, there sure are some nice Airstreams out there that just made for a station wagon in front of them. Especially when they are polished to reflect the wagon in front of them. Barry PS: Is that yours?
Hey Rev; Thanks for the comments, I would like to acquire a few items for spare parts for the T&C. I would appreciate knowing some more wagon guys in the interior. John.
Ive tried to get them on here...seeing that they are diehard waGOONs...but alas...cant so just let me know what...and i'll see what I can do for ya
Rev, parts Hey Rev, can you see if your wagon friends have a 1969 drivers front door panel for a Town & Country, would love it in green, but will dye it. My caro area panels are fair, but am looking for better (not dry rotted) if anyone has them. Moparjohn
I don't know how much old stuff they still have but Marshall's Auto Dismantlers in Lethbridge, Alberta had a ton of 50's to 70's cars although I understand that they have been culling them at an aggressive pace. http://www.marshallauto.com/ There's a guy there named Bob Marek who is very knowledgeable on the older Chrysler products, if you can get him. He's a great guy to deal with and if they don't have the parts you need he may be able to pass you on to someone who does. Saf57
Thanks for the lead, wasn't there also a Chrysler guy in Bow Island some years back? I cant remember a name, but he had a fair amount of cars as I recall. John
I know there was an older fellow, who lived near Bow Island, I think at Seven Persons actually, which was down to one or two persons by 1980, who had a large number of vintage cars on his farm. A friend bought a car from him and when we went out to pick it up there a lot of fifties and sixties cars stored in a big natural bowl on the old homestead. Can't remember his name but Ladeen (sp?) comes to mind but just not sure. A lot of this stuff got picked over pretty good once Ebay came along and then the industrious guys got out and stripped cars where ever they could find them and buy the parts cheap, then off they went to other parts of the world. Good for those who needed parts, bad for those of us who thought we had a secret stash readily available when ever we wanted them. Saf57
