Greetings from Long Island. I just picked up this Roadmaster in New Hyde Park NY. It has 19k miles and runs great. Does anyone know this car? I have a few questions and I also need some advise.
1 - Where is this hood from? olds 98?
2 - Its missing the 3rd row seat, where can i find one?
3 - I want to install a in dash nav, cd, dvd and blue tooth. Any recommendations?
4 - I'm thinking about cragar ss wheels, what is the widest rim/tire I can get fit in the rear without major modifications?
5 - I need a trailer hitch for a BBQ and bike racks, any suggestions?
6 - I want it to breathe easier to increase HP, recommendation?
7 - I want a true vette sound, but not wake the neighbors, recommendation?

    Welcome wagon wheels!

    Looks like a nice Roadmaster!

I can only help you with question #1: Looks like it has the grille from an Olds Custom Cruiser. Your guess is as good as mine as to how it ended up with a different make's grille.

Anyhoo, glad you found us here! :Welcome:
    David :tiphat:

19k original, no rollover. i was told that the original owner lost his driving privleges due to age. the second owner gave it up because it was too difficult to reach the brake pedal (age issue also).

These cars are known collectively as the General Motors 'B' bodies, and Cadillac 'D' body, available in the following configurations:
    Chevy Caprice / Impala SS, 1991 - 1996
    - 4-door sedan, 4-door wagon
    Buick Roadmaster - 1992 (?) - 1996
    - 4 door sedan, 4-door wagon (with raised skylight roof - not avail w/ Chevy)
Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser, 1991 - 1992 -wagon only (like Buick), no sedan.
Cadillac Fleetwood - 1993 (?) - 1996 - sedan only, longer wheelbase than the others.

Your Roadmaster has the grill (and maybe hood as well - not sure) from the Olds Custom Cruiser.

We've got a few members who have B body wagons. They should be able to help you out. Another option is to check out the Impala SS forum - lots of B-body specific info and owners......

Yup, thats a grille and bumper from a 91-92 Olds Custom Cruiser (fenders and hood are all the same). I seen this car discussed on the ImpalaSS forum. It has been wrecked and for some reason they must have went with what they found for replacement parts. In the pics I saw of it, the front clip alone was painted and it suffered from what us body men call "Picture Framing". That is where the paint does not match from panel to panel. Only the laziest of body men will not blend in a adjacent panel with a few dust coats of color to ease the transition of new paint.

2 - Its missing the 3rd row seat, where can i find one? Need to find one and all supporting brackets from a doner car in a junkyard.
3 - I want to install a in dash nav, cd, dvd and blue tooth. Any recommendations? Check out a Best Buy, they have a decent selection, or try Crutchfield, they are online and have a mail order catalog as well.
4 - I'm thinking about cragar ss wheels, what is the widest rim/tire I can get fit in the rear without major modifications? 15x8 wheels with 255/70/15 tires will fit, though they are a mother to get up in the low wheel arches. That is what I ran on the rear of my Roadmaster. They are the same height as the stock tires but almost 3 inches wider.
5 - I need a trailer hitch for a BBQ and bike racks, any suggestions? eBay or some place that sells trailer and camper supplies
6 - I want it to breathe easier to increase HP, recommendation? Cold Air Intake setup will help some and a better breathing muffler will really help it wake up. I recommend eBay or Summit
7 - I want a true vette sound, but not wake the neighbors, recommendation? Some more open mufflers and have the resonators in the very rear cut off and a piece of pipe to replace them. I installed a Thrush Ultra muffler on mine, but the resonator made it just as silent as the restricted muffler did, but it gained quiet a bit of power from the open chambered free flowing design.

Wagon wheels? We have those and Joe Louis cakes, here - chocolate cake with whipped cream inside, and enough preservatives for a 6 month ration pack. :rofl2:

Just kidding. Good to have you here. :Welcome:

No I don't. It was on a forum that do not care for much and every time I happen to venture there, its only a matter of minutes before the site crashes. It was somewhere on the ImpalaSS forum though.

Hold on WW, I must have had my head up my arse, what color is your interior? I believe I have both the upper and lower part of the 3rd seat in light tan leather. I know I have 90% of the interior and believe both seat pieces are there. I should have everything but the brackets that is bolted to the car. What goes with the seat should all be there. Its out in my shed, problem is, the snow all around the shed is up to my ribs and I sure the hell am not gonna go out there and kill myself shoveling it away enuff for my little snow blower to be of any use.

Keep that in mind if you are still looking when the snow thaws enuff for me to be able to bet back into there and check everystuff out for ya. Shipping will likely be so-so since you are NY as well, though we are on opposite sides.

3 - I want to install a in dash nav, cd, dvd and blue tooth. Any recommendations? Go to any local sound shop tell them what ya want, they can give ya the best ideas....there are a ton out there these days..
6 - I want it to breathe easier to increase HP, recommendation? Headers, CAI, Exhaust, Ported TB
7 - I want a true vette sound, but not wake the neighbors, recommendation? I would say if you do headers and a good 2.5 inch exhaust, any will sound good, but vetts use Borla alot.....I am not a fan due to the Raspy part, but Flowmaster makes a 50 series made for hot rods, good sound with less drone and not as loud......
Mine has dumps at the back also another way to kill some of the sound

I can give ya alot of links and info on the LT1, but depends on how far ya want to go with it.....(y)
