This looks like a car that used to be in Langley, or is the twin to it. If it is the Langley wagon, the fellow who built it was driving home from a neighbours and a drunk driver rammed him at high speed, and he'd not done up his seat belt or something, and he died. The driver of the vehicle that hit him disappeared and then turned himself in the next morning with his lawyer in attendance. For what ever reason there was a publication ban on the whole thing. The car was raced at Mission for a while (Rev - know the car?). We used to see the owner out at the DW Poppy show in May of each year. Nice fellow, very creative and a hard worker. Barry
He last visited here 10/23/09. Was this accident recent? (And his member info does say he's from Langley)
No, a year or so ago. Could be a different car. Very unique. Regardless of the history, if it is the same car, I'm glad it is fixed and being driven. I believe the builder would be very pleased that someone cared enough to put it back together and drive it. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I hope when I go that someone sees enough fun in my toys that they will resurrect them and continue to use them. I don't like the thought that my "art" would quit when I do, if that makes sense. I'm just the current caretaker. Barry
