My family & most of my friends know I often forget the details when getting a car ready to drive. Title, Tags, Inspection & Insurance always come with time. However after my recent confrontation with the authorites I have reformed: Yesterday I transfered the title, transfered the tags, got a correct inspection sticker, and transfered insurance all on the same vehicle. Also now have a currect driver's license. The end must be near?
What I drive? The one with my with my handle is not the one I drive. That was my 1998 that died last December with almost 300k. Look at the one in my photos, it looks much different. We feel that if it runs & drives & is legal, then it is fair game to drive?
I would surmise Hunt's Town Car and another vehicle or obstacle were, unfortunately, in the same place at the same time.
What I drive? I actually bought the car that way, the young girl did not have insurance, so I traded a 1992 Buick Grand Sports for it. Had $750 in the Buick. Have a quarter for $100 & a new bumper for $85. Has 18" magnum wheels & will have chrome & emblems removed, headlights painted to match body, trying to find a dummy fiberglass spare for the deck, tail lights will be replaced with medal & replaced with some form of lights in the bumper. Hoping for a small limo back glass with a vinyl top rear cap. Upper body & top will be white with vinyl top, bumpers & lower body painted biege to match the interior. Interior is perfect, so just a CD & 35% windows will do. Car is for my wife until I finish her Expedition.
Now here's the spirit! 950 written tests later since 2005 and she still has to do the Practical test to get her license! http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/8347164.stm
That should be a pretty cool looking town car by the time you're down. As long as you're doing that body work, why not stick a long roof on it and make it a town wagon instead of a town car?!!
