Tonight what I did was type my post, then enter it. As expected it just hung. So what I did was look up the site independently on my PC as a guest, to see if it actually submitted, which it did. So that helped a lot. I knew to stop trying, and unknowingly making duplicate posts that I would have to spend even more time removing.

Some days there are no issues, some days it won't open if I have other tabs open, sometimes it's just slow either way.

It has actually run fairly normally for me this week. I just try to enjoy it while it lasts.

It's so frickin' frustrating not having access to the backend to troubleshoot. I'm trying to work through it and stick it out but it gets increasingly harder the longer Wagonmaster is not in contact.

I don't understand the reasoning for just abandoning a working website. There has to be monatery value that he is forfeiting.

I don't understand the reasoning for not giving the admins the tools they need to properly run the place.

So this is all just a big misunderstanding?

Apparently, with "big misunderstanding" being that you and I don't understand. :)

If you look at the box where it says number of people online, you will see bots and guests. The bots catalog content and use tons of bandwidth when doing so. Like wise with AI, which is doing the same thing. These are basically "denial of service" attacks because they tie up the site so much. First you have to have an effective way to block them from the site. Second, you have to ban the ISPs that they originate from. Lots of work and you must have programming access to the program software. That's the crux of the problem.

The latter's the initial problem. Without keys to the software locker, blocking isn't yet possible.
DOS attacks are deliberate acts of cyber vandalism. Catalog bots and Artificial intelligence aren't intentionally destructive like traditional forum antis are. Their site-milking simply produce parasitic draws on forum traffic
