Well, I joined 14 years ago looking for a 69 country squire. I got distracted 7 years ago with a manual CTS-V wagon. Finally found this and am bringing her home: 1969 country squire 429/AC/Disks First Challenge will be to open the tailgate. When unlocked it does not open in swing out mode, and the window does not move, so i cannot open it in tailgate mode.
Congratulations! That will be a fun challenge. That was a popular green color for 1969 Fords. My folks had a '69 Galaxie 500 hardtop in that color..... Guess it's a bit hard to tell, but that IS a '69 Galaxie hardtop parked in the driveway. Christmas, 1969. I was in my first year of (junior) college, still living at home, but soon to move out......
Great find! I learned to drive on my mom's 69 LTD with a 390, and my dad's 71 Country Squire with the 429. Both were great cars. You'll have a blast with that one.
