Well the F-85 is represented in the build. The rear roof section is raised 3.5 inches like the F85 Vista cruiser, except instead of roof windows, there are vents to allow air flow to cool the heat generated by the rear motor. Also the front transmission has a floor shifter with a console from a 1962 F85 Cutlass Jetfire with the turbo boost gauge. Plus the W27 rear axle with aluminum center section from a 1970 F85 W30 Cutlass.
I REALLY would like to see this up close and personal ! Do you plan on showing it anytime soon ? Keep up the awsome craftmanship !!
I had to deal with some health issues last year and that slowed my roll to a standstill. It also gave me time to think about some changes that resulted in the firewall and roof modifications. I thought about installing 1962 Starfire bucket seats but I have two granddaughters so the bench will probably stay. I want the body back on chassis next month so the plumbing and wiring can be finished. Oldsmobile Homecoming is in June and I want to at least have it in primer by then.
