I miss Western Auto. Prices were right and they always seemed to have what I needed. I painted my 1st car with bondo, primer, and paint from WA. I still have a couple of their wrenches which are over 60 years old now.
I am 66 and I never had a pedal car but my younger brother had a white Chaparral race car pedal car. It had a chrome plastic motor in the rear and it made engine sounds powered by house hold batteries. To have that treasure today. Cheers.
Here in Germany, electric-powered vehicles are mandated to make enough noise, in order to warn pedestrians of their presence. The Swiss don't have this mandate. When they show up here to do their shopping, I've almost walked in front of them, having been used to noise. Unfortunately, it's illegal to download one's own vehicle sounds. Otherwise, soccer mom-type electric cars would drive by, sounding like Quadrajet with air cleaner lids screwed-on upside down 427 Corvettes
