    Hello everybody.

I dont know how I got along without one and why it took me so long to get a station wagon. This (a station wagon) is the absolute best vehicle a man can have. Way better than a truck for non commercial use.

I'm starting with this one and working my way up to a Buick Roadmaster.

After my 92 S10 finally gave up the fuel pump among other things it was brought to my attention that a 1996 Oldsmobile Ciera SL Wagon was for sale locally by a friend of a friend.

Well I had no wheels, due to aforementioned S10 not working anymore and no
desire to fix it, so I bought the Oldsmobile. I don't seem to find much information on this unloved year and model but the car is starting, I mean I'm starting to catch feelings for the thing.

It's white, 105,000 miles, gray cloth interior, 3.1 (L82), 9.5:1 compression, roller cam, aluminum heads, sequential multiport fuel injection (SMPFI), 160hp, power everything (seats, mirrors, locks windows, ac, rear defrost), tranny cooler, overdrive automatic transmission. I mean honestly I was astonished how quick it is, it goes like a rocket!

I thought I will use it as my daily driver, and with the addition of a small trailer I can also use it as a pickup for large unwieldy items. Its rated up to 2000 lbs tow capacity with max 300lb on the tounge. I would keep it to 1000lb max for safety and longevity.

So I'm happy I found this site as there seems to be no interest in these cars at all in the usual places on the internet such as Youtube, etc. If anyone has one of these, lets unite!

Anyway, thanks everyone I look forward to corresponding with you all on here.

It's a southern car and has no rust on it except a bit of superficial oxidation on the top and hood where it had some scratches. I plan on respraying these areas and addressing other details and personalizations.

Sure I wish I had a legit Vista Cruiser but right now I have to work with what I have. I plan to make this a 1996 Cutlass Vista Cruiser complete with emblems and Olds Rally SS wheels if I can find bolt pattern adapters and make the backspacing work. I had three criteria for the S10s replacement and this car meets 2 out of three. It's reliable and versatile but it needs help in the cool department.

Actual car like mine with unknown wheels. Looks pretty good. Maybe there is hope for my little Vista Cruiser, erm uh I mean Ciera.

These are great wagons for sure. We had one similar with the wood grain on the side, sadly we sold it, stuff happens. Looks like yours has the pop up seat in the way back. Congratulations, glad you found us, enjoy the wagon and the forms.
