I had SMS make me a front bench seat cover for my 65 vista cruiser in 2019. Very costly but a spot on match, most people are amazed when I tell them the interior is original except for the front seat cover.

Not this month, but recently enough, I finally got my 1990 Mercury Grand Marquis LS inspected.

It was last inspected in Late 2018, and then the fuel lines went out. Well, when one stock line goes and it's about 30 years old, they're all going to go in short order if I don't get all of them. So I removed the gas tank, and replaced the Brake Lines back there too while I was at it. But then I goofed and put lines on that were too big, so I had to put smaller ones on.

And since Covid happened and other things, it took this long. But the car's in the garage now, and it's perfectly legal to drive it whenever I can.

It’ll be 66 degrees in STL tomorrow so I think I’m taking her to lunch.

    Merry Christmas Everyone!

It’s raining today. I should have asked Santa for that wiper motor conversion.

Don't feel bad. I'm going on that trip to S. Florida this week, and my BIL and I loaded and strapped the Torino GT hood to the Suburban's top, using a couple moving blankets, on Saturday. Saturday night and most of yesterday, it rained. Today was nice, so I hope it dried out, but the top blanket began to rip on the passenger front corner. I think I can tape that corner, but 1400 miles will tell.

We're waking up in Ocean Springs, MS. After getting ready for the day, we'll hit up brekky and get a couple things that were forgotten, then head down to the Gulf, take a Livestream shot for the Tikkie-Tokkies out in Internetland, and resume our trip to Florida.

It's been a month, and things kind of went to Hades in a handcart, including getting kicked out of where I was living, having to spend my January money on motels (and a week at a campground!). I've found, and taken, an apartment in San Antonio, but in so doing, I sadly had to sell Roger. I needed the money to make a trip to family in WA, but received word the day after I left, and ended up turning back.

I drove the wagon for about an hour and then took the dogs for a short ride yesterday.
I’ll probably drive it today just to unwind and get ready for next week.

Got my colony park in November of ‘21 The first year of ownership only saw the blown 302 getting pulled.

The next 6 months I gathered up a new block and some parts

The last 9 months I’ve been putting it back together. What was only to be a rebuild turned into a project of epic proportions.

    The build:
    351 bored/stroked to 408
    Scat rotating assembly
    AFR heads
    Weiand 671
    N2O
    TCI built C6
    4 link rear
    Narrowed 9”
    4:10 gears
    Tru-trac diff
    And a lot more IMG_2587.jpeg
