I am looking for car cover for my 1970 Chevy wagon. Could somebody recommend one that they have experience with? There is tons of covers on Ebay but I have no idea if I should go with $50 or $300 one. None of them would last years so the $50 covers I could replace every year and cover 6 years for the same price as the more expensive one.

    Thanks.

I drive my junk, so I have no idea what a good cover is. FOr $50 a year and in 6 years you have a $300, where the big dollar one might only last ya 3-6 and be money lost.

    I drive mine too :)

That's what I figured price-wise. I just do not want the $50 cover to rip when landscaping guy uses leaf-blower next to it.

If you buy a quality cover.....they LAST. I've had the one for my '34 for over 12 years, and the one for the '41 for about 8. I bought from:

    California Car Covers:

They are custom cut for your car, I got I think the Noah, probably about $ 200.00 or so.

I went through car covers about every 2 years in SE Virginia. The sun destroys the material. I had been buying the $75 cheapos from Advanced Auto, and then went to the Kimberly-Clark 3-ply ones. They stay water-resistant for about a year.

I have a 3-ply one on my 90 Mercury, but I went ahead and bought an expensive California Car Cover http://www.calcarcover.com/ ExtremeWeave one. It is on its second year now and it is holding up fairly well. It is starting to lose its water-proofing but till keeps out the majority of dirt and water. I think that it will last 1 more season and then be done.

Thanks to all who replied. I guess I will start with a cheap one and see how long it lasts. I am mostly interested in keeping rain dust out (when landscaping guys come and start blowing stuff all over the place). Summertime is pretty nice up here and the cover will not be on the car every day.
