Man those things crawled all over Chicago in the late ‘70’s and early ‘80’s.

    Sold for $8,300 on 8/21/23
doesn't seem too bad. I like the early 70's Cutlass' and later in mid 80's better, but with that interior i do like it.

Or that very pale green that was almost white, I remember alot of the 78-80 Cutlass's that color with light green landau tops and dark green interiors.

Wish it was still that way. So many boring cars crawling along the streets of cities now.

I feel sorry for your boys. Do they ever jump in the seat of the car and say ooooooooh dad did you see that new Camry? I was like a jumping bean when the new cars came out. I’m sure I gave my folks a start or two.

My boys have no interest in new cars. There has never been the excitement you mention regarding new models.
However, they are constantly pointing out classic cars, 70's era pickups and the occasional rare sighting of a cabover semi.
So, same type of scenario, different quarry.

The good news is that this car in Chicago looked like this in 1991. Neat story, but I feel sorry for this poor car.

Agreed, only in the upper midwest will you see cars half that bad still on the road. That poor thing should be put out of its misery.

Recently, everyone on the FB Chicagoland Spotters page thought it finally "Bit the Rust," but as it turns out, someone freaking bought it! And he was soo happy to say so!
