Hahaha yeah. I kept it positive and said I liked the ambulance. It was very unique. His demeaner changed briefly and he said "yeah, they are neat to look at. I like coming out here every morning and looking at em"

I’ve spotted a few wagons languishing over the past few weeks.

Figered I aught to share them.

Nice wagons for sure, but for me, the jewel of the bunch is the Willys Jeep pickup........

too many to choose from. The red Galaxie, 5 window gm pick up, blue 60’s gm stepside and a nice pile of corvairs!
I’d even go for the Rambler.

There was more, but apparently I wasn't supposed to be in that section of the wrecking yard. The sign that said KEEP OUT had fallen over. I was shooed out by an employee who sheepishly put the sign back up as we were walking out.

I have seen this one before. It may have been restored and they did a remake of that scene in photographs.

    WoW! That's amazing!
I'd love to see the photos of the recreated scene.

They made their debut in 1955. I don't know if they started out producing wagons so soon.
The ones you see more often are likely imports circumventing federal safety standards, as soon as they've superceeded a certain age
Or in real death, as is the case here

Can you still buy Saab oil, or will any 2 cycle oil work? I had 2 customers years ago with Saabs. One was a sedan and the other was a Sonnet. The Sonnet belonged to an airline stewardess. She was hot but the car was a PITA to work on.
