Done with the rust repairs. Color match isn't great but good enough for a temporary repair. Better than driving around with rust or primer spots.

Packed the wheel bearings, new pads and rotors. My seat will be done this week and then I can drive it!

Yes it is and right now is prime cruising weather here in the desert Southwest!

We're still a few months away from our prime cruising weather. I hope it all goes smoothly and you're able to drive it and enjoy it soon.

Got my seat back and installed. Very happy with how it turned out. I do need to dye the headrests tomorrow. 20221111_164612.jpg

'Form follows function,' right? So how does the seat feel when you sit in it?

It feels great! Before it felt like I was sitting in a hole. In fact I needed to get a different frame because mine was broken in multiple places. It's now very comfortable to drive!

Splendid! Yeah, I need to find a new seat for my '79 Ranchero; it's broken in a couple places, and also feels like I'm in a hole. The only upside to that? I'm 6'6" and my head isn't up against the headliner.

I'm considering it done! I buffed and detailed it today and while it's nowhere near perfect it looks good enough that I'm not going to spend the time and money on a complete repaint. Time to drive and enjoy it! Now I have two done cars so I can switch off driving them.
