some old matchbox wagons

    I had both of these. I remember the Studebaker had a hunter and a dog. the mercury had 2 dogs in the back. I was thinking my mercury had luggage on the top. Both of these were the colors i had.

    Awesome! Love em. They weren't fast like Hot Wheels, but Matchbox had all the "Real World Regular Joe" cars.
    I didn't realize that we had a dedicated Station Wagon Memorabilia & Toys forum. I only view the forums using the "Recent Posts" link. I will have some material to post here.

    I had both the Mercury Commuter wagon and the Studebaker. Both might still be around somewhere. I know I have the earlier 1956 and 1959 Ford wagons. In the late 70's the Mercury Commuter wagon was replaced with a Mercury Cougar (Montego) wagon in the same color. Later, there was a Mercury Sable wagon. And now the current Matchbox lineup includes a '64 Fairlane wagon.
