This car, a 1995 Ninety-Eight Regency, couldn't get past $3000 in the bidding at the Mecum Chicago auction today, and the auctioneer had to do some significant coaxing just to get it that high. In the end, the car did not sell (at least not while on the block) as the $3k did not meet the reserve. At 118,000 miles, it's not exactly a spring chicken, but it doesn't look too bad. I'm guessing the seller might let it go for less than $5000. Someone could have some fun with this car. https://www.mecum.com/lots/CH1021-468640/1995-oldsmobile-regency/
I only drove them as rentals, I can't think of anything awful to say about them, but I also can't remember anything I liked about them?
Once an old fogey car, always an old fogey car. The faux convertible top does not help. Honestly, would you want to be seen in it?
