Another one has popped up. Very reasonable asking price of $4000 if he has done as much to it mechanically as he says. Paint is a bit faded, but that's ok considering. A few more photos, especially of the engine, wouldn't hurt. It's cool that he has the original window sticker. https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/cto/d/saint-croix-falls-1978-oldsmobile/7389146059.html Get your frickin finger out of the way! If you want to hide the license plate, fine. Put a towel over it. But in the photo, the car comes off as an afterthought. Plus, in order for your finger to be not too small to cover the plate, you have stand 100 feet from the car. A towel works from any distance! Fender extensions have been replaced, and the blue does not match the faded paint. I'm sure it's the faded paint that is now the wrong color. Fuzzy dice are fine when you're cruising for chicks, but take them out when you're photographing the car to sell it. Take the air freshener out, too, because that suggests the interior is smelly, which is not a good selling point. While you're at it, take the empty soda can out of the trash container by the passenger-side footwell. It just astonishes me how often we see photos where the seller couldn't be bothered to do even the simplest clean-up. You don't have to shampoo the carpet and seats, but, for God's sake, get the trash out! Nothing like having a 1975 Olds factory service manual on hand when working on your '78 Oldsmobile. Three words... Oh My God
What in the world is with that horn? It's not in this other shot of the hood. I don't think it's screwed into the hood, thankfully.
The ad says that the horns are attached with magnets. The price on this car has dropped. They were asking $4000. Now it's $3250. https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/cto/d/saint-croix-falls-1978-oldsmobile/7389146059.html
Maybe the soda can is an example of storage capacity for the footwell bin. Also I probably would have taken out that hump cup holder. And, decluttered it as well. I always see a filthy car advertised and automatically think. Lazy seller deferred maintenance.
