1978 Buick Riviera LXXV for sale on BaT Auctions - ending July 22 (Lot #51,699) | Bring a Trailer not my fav style (too similar to Lesabre coupe) , but the 2 tone looks nice, great seats.
That big clock on the passenger side of the dash always looked odd to me. Throwback to the cars of the 1930s and 1940s, which I guess was who Buick was aiming their car line at then - people who remembered when cars had those types of gauges. The 403 to me is the biggest injustice of all.
I agree that it is not my favorite year of Riviera, and very odd to see an Olds engine in a Buick (other than the 307 V8's in the later B-Body sedans & Wagons) I never noticed the large analog clock in the dash on these models before. I agree it does look odd. Nice looking example, I like the colors.
The '78 Riviera was a hurriedly-designed stop-gap model pushed through when Buick found out the all-new front drive Riviera wasn't going to be ready for the 1978 model year introduction.
at least the clock on the Riviera is better there then the main center gauge cluster , right in the middle, like some Pontiacs.
