Looking to buy a 1970 Chevelle wagon without the 3rd. row seat. Is it possible to put in the 3rd. row seat?

Yes, it's possible. But it would probably be easier finding a Chevelle wagon that already HAS the third seat than it would be to find a third seat (and all the hardware / braces, etc) by itself.

You need more than just the seat. There's most likely a structure that the seat frame attaches to. Then there's the frame itself (upper and lower); the hinges, and the two seat cushions themselves. Third seats from a Pontiac Tempest would work, as would a third seat from an Olds Cutlass Cruiser '68 - '72 or a Buick Special / Special Deluxe for those same years.

A third seat from an Olds Vista Cruiser or Buick Sport Wagon with the sky view roof would NOT work, since those are completely different FORWARD-facing third seats.
