That's an education. I didn't think the Fox wagons went past 1984. Heck of good start for a nice project. Those are well equipped with sound and rust proofing, most of the bugs worked out after 8 years in production as Fairmonts and Zephyrs.

There's his problem- the 'Cellinoid'. WTF is a 'Cellinoid'? Must have a movie projector in the back......

The problem is likely nothing more than the ignition relay.

The only issue it might have is the 3.8 V6. They didn't get the bugs worked out until a few years later. They were 'woof-woofs'.

Would be a great for a 2000 and up 3.8 swap out of a Stang. Them lil ponys will haul the mail! My boss's wife has a 2001 ragtop auto and it will smoke up from a dead stop right up into drive, posi even. Very light power breaking required, but just to start them turning. I was impressed, coz my brother had a 94 with a 3.8 and it was a dog.

Shhh. I don't want all the Fox wagon guys buying those Turbo beasties on me.:biglaugh:

Now don't chuckle too hard, but my stock 200 CID six has 85 HP. She can't peel rubber, except in gravel:biglaugh:, but she's no slouch either. The 302 V8 had 145 HP stock, and it could chirp for a few feet, but throw in one of those Turbo Coupe mothers with 195 HP in a 2,700 lb wagon, and it would be one big "HELLO!" AND, I'd get to pass more gas stations to boot.:D

Merkur XR4Tis are a good source for 2.3 turbo motors. Most have no interest in the motor and so if the shell is bad, the cars go for dirt cheap.

They might have been popular where you are from, but I have only ever sen 1 in person and that was many many years ago. I am a car nut and look at all the yards/fields/driveways that I go by and have never seen one except that one that was cruisin down the highway.
