When your dentist wanted, and could afford, a Lincoln but didn't want to look that affluent.

Growing up our pediatrician had a lot of middle class patient families, and every other year (even) it was a brand new Caprice coupe loaded up with every available option. Perception was everything then. Today your doctor/dentist would get you in the chair and gladly tell you what he just paid for his M63 G-wagon.

It was weird I remember as a kid asking him if I could see his new Caprices. He would give me the keys, could you imagine that today? I would run down and look at it. I particularly remember his ‘66 in Aztec bronze with a tan vinyl top, and matching tan Strato buckets. I’m sure he thought I was going to be a car salesman. I think it was the first time I ever saw a comfortron AC. Didn’t see another one till my uncles ‘68 yellow Sedan DeVille, and of course Dr. Kamakas’ ‘68 Seafrost green Caprice. Isn’t it strange what you remember as a kid. I guess that’s why we’re car nuts today, and love these old friends.
