That is an incredibly clean car!

Needing a new headliner may indicate leaking roof rack.

No idea on the missing bumper filler. I'm planning to cut up my bumper or make a custom bumper to eliminate the gap.

What a great looking car, and what a lucky young man. He won’t see another one in the student lot.

He likes but doesn't drive much with all the COVID shutdown stuff. We did get the racing wheels and tires off. Now it has the original wires and WWs.

Very nice looking example of Oldsmobile craftsmanship, I love the color! I tend to croon to any Oldsmobile because I own one!? (or two) Your son is a lucky guy to first have a dad to buy such a nice ride for him but that it's a Olds to top it off!....Longroofs Rule!

Headliners do fall down on these cars. Not because of leaking roof rack or anything. Its just the glue that gives up. Its an easy fix and you can get original material from SMS Auto Fabrics. They always need some time, like 3 months or so, but you get the correct material. Then its just to remove the two fiberglass boards, strip of the old headliner and spray-glue the new on. Use a good quality glue. 3M has a version that will work greatly.
Suggest to fill the void space above the headliner with some good insulation. 2 centimeter will make the car a lot warmer in winter, or cooler in summer plus you remove some additional noise. The car is quiet now, but it will be more if throwing on some insulation/dampening mats.
Before you remove the headliner from the car, put some plastic to cover the seats and interior. Sticky stuff might fall down... Ask me how I know...

For rear bumper fillers its going to be a bit more tricky. See wanted add on this site:

Picture below of typical self gluing insulation (or whatever its called).

Turns out the headliner will have to wait, may need a tranny rebuild first. Found some debris in the pan. Looks like needle bearing rollers.
