I once had a good customer with a '73 Gold Duster. Kept it maintained for the four years I worked at that shop. All 'original/unmolested' save for the maintenance I did.
Looks to be in great shape for a rust belt car, Love the interior, 225 Slant 6, can't go wrong. Ad says it has had 1 repaint & some rust repair, so a good underside inspection would be a must, but not way over priced at $7200
May have had a pair of bell bottoms in that interior material. Or maybe it was a shirt, memories are hazy. Always happy to see a lower priced car that has been so well cared for. As cammerjeff noted rust could be an issue as I remember these and the Darts turning to dust in Maryland. Would have been nice to see the trunk floor with no mat. Anybody know what the toggle switch on left underside of dash could be for ? I can see the label is 2 words but that is about it.
Or maybe not nice, for all we know. Levity aside, you make a notable point. Is that mat there to hide something we are not to know?
As I recall, Marsha Brady was wearing the bell bottoms. The Gold Duster I worked on, though it lived in the Pacific Northwest, did show its age, but it certainly didn't look that nice, although it had a 318.
