Man, this is a neat ride. I kinda dig the Cragars on it, but with my thing for originality, I'd have to buy two sets of tires because I like both looks. I hate the crappy steering wheel though - that'd be the first to go.

It's already bunged up, but if you can find a '59 Edsel wheel, that would be very cool.

I remember following those Merc's when I was a kid, I always thought they looked angry from the back. Brings back good memories of my impatient father stuck behind a slow moving Turnpike cruiser in his old 63 E-type. I learned a lot of swear words on those occasions, as the 2 seater did not let my mother ride along and be a calming (or at least disapproving ) influence on him.

That steering wheel is another entry into the "What were they thinking" file. Agree that the Cragars were a good choice tho. Better for my taste would be wide ww and full wheel covers with spinners.

The windshield on these cars gives it a very "receding hairline" look.
    Not my favorite design.

That's a M.E.L. and supposedly rebuilt (who had parts?). It'll accomodate any block of this type all the way up to a 462

Parts are out there. Not as easy as an FE or 385, but they're out there.
