Nice on all counts. I like the digital odometer. I didn't think those appeared on cars as early as 1981. About the only thing you could wish for is that it was a different color. Kind of a bland green and it's monotonously the same inside and out. Wouldn't it look sharp in, say, red with a white interior.
I dunno, I like it. At least the interior green's not like that stodgy, ugly interior green GM and Ford had; this green may not pop like, say, a Seafoam green, but it's still an eye-catcher. And Jaunty, as soon as you sat down behind the wheel, you'd be searching for the TV remote, and not caring about the color.
Until Dodge put the Intrepid into Nascar this was last Chrysler product to run nascar. Buddy Arrington.
I usually complain about bland colors on a lot of the cars we see. However, this car really looks good in that color. Viewing the site on my tablet and did not see any interior photos available. Not to crazy about the digital dash tho. Had a digital dash on a early 80s Buick Regal that set me crazy with intermittent on/offs.
I'm not used to digital instrumentation. I like the looks of analogs tastefully done. Analogs are like having candles in the house for when the power grid goes bust
They are nice riding cars, but very lazy cars to drive (slow like almost all cars of the era.) I personally do not car for any digital dash boards, and the early ones were worse than the newer ones. I also worry about reliability and repairability of that "high Tech" Dash.
I now wonder if we will see it again, or if the seller found out what the market value of the car is, I just found the same car on C/L with a $12,000 asking price. https://york.craigslist.org/cto/d/york-1981-chrysler-imperial-low-mileage/6948928478.html
Craigs list ad says posted 30 days ago. So was car really sold for just under $8k or do we have a bogus ebay auction sale ? Guess we will have a clue if the craigslist ad stays up.
