"as I brought it home" Wonder what was paid to the original owner. Looks like a $2500 car to me. -

What a great use of the 1978 Thunderbird trunk straps. Hold up your headliner! Sitting a little low too. It’s a honey.......... POT!

In 1978 I bought a class A Motorhome. We drove it everywhere camping, including shopping.
In 1980 I bought a nearly new maroon 1980 Malibu V-6 3-speed. I called it a salesman's special. No AC, no power anything. I built an attachement making the fancy new compression bumper braces ridged and towed that Malibu behind the motorhome until 1988 when I bought a 1987 Ford Escort replacement tow behind, or Toad, as some called them.
The Malibu was a light fun to drive and fun to haul vehicle. My motorhome fuel mielage was the same with or without the Malibu being towed. I think I paid around $2500 back in late 1980, about what this 1981 is worth.
