Ok so the fun with the magnum begain this morning. I figured since we couldn't fit 3 bikes in the magnum I would add a hitch for a bike rack, since the exhaust had to come down might as well put in a dynomax cat back exhaust since we're this far. Well things we're going well ,the old exhaust came out easy, the bionic hip lady helped me put in the trailer hitch, put in the exhaust. Take off the bubble wrap on the polished exhaust. Tips and they are different , one has a rolled edge ,one has a tapered edge

Looks just fine to me. The one on the RT on the RT or right is okay but I like the one on the left. Is that right?

I think you should just throw the three bikes in the 59 wagon and forget the Magnum..

he is back but this time he is visiting while working on the 59 chevy.Last weekend on my trip up to ga i went back to Summit racing because they gave me the wrong wilwood disc brake kit ,wrong axle flange size. Well today i go to put it together and now they are the wrong offset .How come on TV it is so easy ? 30 mins and they rebuild a car ,fight, yada yada yada and still have time for commercials?

Because they pay some Joe Schmuckatelli to chase down parts and verify the parts are correct. Funny thing is, when I order parts, I always get what I order, and frankly I'm not a lucky guy. So why do I get correct parts and others don't? Maybe it's my attention to detail, I don't know. But hopefully, you'll get the correct parts and the '59 will be back on the road. I mean this when I wish you 'good luck.'

I know that Murphy guy well! His family is lurking everywhere I go too. That's part of Murphy's law of relativity. Relatively speaking he enjoys watching grown men cry.
On TV they charge $150,000 to restore and modify a 1941 Plymouth that was decent to start with. During the restoration it gets a subframe and a Dodge Hemi. Murphy gets a kick back on the parts and a guy named Carl gets to ride around in his original Plymouth. It's all relative.
I blame the bionic hipped lady. You just can't trust women with fake parts.

Hahaha...you guys make me giggle out loud...sorry hubby trying to watch TV.

We often get the wrongs parts. I believe it's because hubby sends me to pick up the parts while he starts the tear apart. I wouldn't know the wrong part from the right part. Anyway good luck with the your bikes, tips and everything.

So i am the victim once more of Mr. Murphy. , i decided to put up a canopy in front of my garage to block the sun. So last monday i ordered the parts ,get a call from the seller telling me there will be some variation in the powder coating is that ok? yes just ship my order . so yesterday i get a box and figure we are set. Open the box today and half the parts are missing ,no info , no additional tracking info and i am pissed shipped me 1/2 the order to bill my am ex and forgot about the other half and no clue when it will get shipped :banghead::banghead::banghead:

well he's back to visit me again or maybe he just never left. Since my wagon was hit in 2014 it never has run right. It was always loading up and running rich. I tried everything including plugs ,wire, coil, fuel pressure regulator, o2 sensor ,even removed the F.A.S.T. ez efi system and put in a gm tuned port . I gave up and brought it to a friend of mine who spoke with a friend of his and they figured out somehow the valve adjustment had tightened up and kept the valves from closing and opening properly. Now it runs great so I started to do some other work such as replacing the rack and pinion steering I installed yrs ago to a 500 style steering box . so this has lead to a new radiator ( steering box doesn't clear existing radiator)which means a different shroud and don't forget hooking up the tranny cooler which the old radiator didn't have.then changing over the power steering lines and oh yeah make some spacers so the new sway bar which came with the new box clears the new radiator. Did I mention the fan is too close now to the new radiator so I needed a shorter spacer. Oh I forgot the latest issue as the old radiator had the inlet on the drivers side and this radiator has it on the pass side. so a new water neck is needed which is a problem with the intake I have.
My only question is why mr murphy on tv do they never seem to have such issues, .all weekend and I still didn't finish

Why did you switch from the rack and pinion to a steering box?

Several yrs ago I installed an aftermarket rack and pinion steering setup. I didn’t like it so I switched to a 500 style steering similar to a gm style 605 box
