I never knew Ford operated Service stations for a few years, until the local dealers became upset with the loss of cash. This station is in the Detroit area, I love the combination Gas Pump & Display Case!
Someplace in that area was a log cabin restaurant. When I-55 was built, the restaurant was turned around to face the new highway. We were there once but not sure if it's Pontiac or slightly south. I've mentioned before, the oldest American truck stop is the now modern Dixie Truck Stop now off I-55 and co 136 McLean, Ill.
Me too. When I first saw it I thought to myself what a lovely little spot to pull off the road for a break.
Sure looks like Roanoke, VA, but if not, we still got a building downtown today that sure looks like it. Still selling food too.
