Portugal and the Netherlands use similar license plates. The windmill hints at the Netherlands. The ornamentation of the hearse itself hints at a predominantly southern European Catholic country. Looks like we've got another fun riddle to solve
Thanks!! I'm from From The Netherlands, Bought this car in Belgium,it's very close from where i live, just hopped over the border. The car is always used as a hearse in Belgium, the ornaments are typical Belgian, they were made in Brussels. The chevy is manufactured also in Belgium at the GM plant at Antwerp those days,it's all gone now.. She has only about 45.000 miles (lot on sand driven haha) behind her. The coffin is from Portugal, don't worry,it's empty
Hi Ivy, You were partly correct!! Indeed now in The Netherlands, Catholic country, but from Belgium, the ornaments are typically used there.
I was just in Utrecht, a couple weeks ago. I didn't know that I had a bad experience there, until I got home with the car I bought from there
At first i wasn't either but after i while i decided to keep the car letting as she is, i was searching for a clamshell wagon and after seing a few cars i could find here i ran up to these and she was in a much better condition than the other cars,so i bought her with the intention to remove the lights..
Hi Grizz, no,the local undertaker saw my car and asked me if i was interested in a casket,he had one left over and wanted to get rid of it so i drove to the morgue and picked it up haha, have lots of fun with it at meetings etc..
Haha! It went like this; Someone died in a foreign country and had to be transported to The Netherlands, they used this casket for this,at home the family decided to use another casket for tghe ceremonial so this one was a left over.
I bought a car which was advertised as having passed Dutch inspection (RDW): http://www.stationwagonforums.com/forums/threads/is-my-wagon-a-wagon.49642/ . Without a certified inspection, export registry plates would not have been available. The inspection took place , at the end of June of this year. Since the German government doesen't recognise foreign inspection certification, I had to present this car for German certification. As it turned out, the German inspector found many major faults of which the inspector in the Netherlands didn't document. I didn't refer to him as a Dutch inspector, because the name posted on the document wasn't Dutch. I will see if I can photograph both documents and then post them here tomorrow
