Hey guys, Would the trans cooler lines from an F150 series E4OD fit on a Grand Marq AOD. It seems like it would since the e4 is an updated aod.
No. The E4OD is a C6-based trans, while the AOD and AODE/4R70W is a C4-based trans. If you are looking for a swap to an electronically-controlled trans, you need one from a mid-90s F-150 or E-150 2WD with the 5.0L engine. That will be a direct bolt-in.
Nah, I just wanted to see if I could re-use the cooler lines from the bronco since I can't afford new ones for the wagon. If i were to swap out the trans, I'd be going with the tko600 for the wagon and the NP435 for the bronco.
Ah, I see. I don't see those lines working without cutting and splicing. Babe's had a trans transplant herself, and I thoroughly screwed up the cooler lines when taking them out of the donor car. One line had to have a chunk cut out, 15 years ago, and it's been a pain in my butt ever since. I've been looking high and low for a set from an LTD II or Cougar Villager wagon, one of the reasons why I came on this website. Came for parts (buy and sell), stayed for the floorshow.
It started out that way with the cp (joinging this site for guidance on parts and restoration) but at this point I can't even get the fucking thing road worthy. Had to leave my job last month due to arising health complications, now I'm out of money, staying at my dad's with both vehicles just sitting. I'm grateful that I have somewhere to lay my head, but Jesus tap dancing christ, this sucks. Thankfully an acting gig is coming up soon and I'll make enough money to address the trans leak. Christ I've been needing a small break like this.
Dude, the last five years has been a trial by fire for me, I'm sure you've seen my posts on FSB. I ended up having to sell Eddie, and everything I bought for his conversion. That was tough for me. I sincerely hope your health problems are not so bad that you end up like I did, having to wait four years to get to the point I can do work on vehicles.
Its a heart arythmia, type 1 Brugada. It's nothing to worry about too much right now, but I risk passing out on the spot if I push my heart too much, and even then its like a "If I keep pushing it, it'll get worse" type of deal. I'm sorry to hear that you had to sell your bronco.
My sister was in the ER today for the same thing I have--Atrial Fibrillation. When I got it five years ago, I was so full of water, I'd bend down to rack up a customer's car,and stop breathing. Then I'd stand up, and I'd see designs in front of my eyes. Those five weeks from diagnosis to seeing a cardiologist for the first time were the most torturous in my life.
