That. Is. Awesome!!!!!! I get soooo furious at the automakers for crushing test beds and concepts that are otherwise driveable. They need to rethink that, even if it only means certain cars go to museums or are marked so that they are unregisterable for driving, only for ownership.

The unfortunate side is the engine and transmission is gone... along with the hood, fenders, and front clip... but that would have increased the value tremendously having it numbers matching with whatever experimental stuff they put on...
I wonder what the thief did with the engine...

Who says the thief took the engine? It would require a vehicle set up with a cherry picker or an overhead chain fall to yard just the engine, let alone engine and trans. I suspect that the thief only stole parts from the engine, making the engine inoperable, and it was pulled later, but never made the trip to where the car ended up

It had to have a special hood. No way would a 428 with a supercharger fit under a standard hood unless it was a Paxton and even that would be hard to fit in.

Hope there is plenty of pictures and documentation still available on what it looked like and had with it... You can fabricate body parts... Heck theres so many mustang enthusiasts that im sure theres someone making body parts for sale.

That 428 was twin-blower equipped, so at the very least, it had to have a Shelby hood, but I hope Jackson posts all the pics he receives from the crowdsourcing. I'm sure we'd have this question answered if we could see a pic. I'm interested in how the blowers would've been plumbed, and did they use an 8V induction or not?

According to Barris, Fox News's inflated fantasy about a blower or two was nothing more than a dual quad set-up
