As the years have passed by and life has been busy, I still haven't done anything with the Buick and am now looking to give someone else the opportunity to do something great with the car. I know I can sell the car locally as I have had many knocks on the door from interested passers by, but I know they are essentially interested in the engine and will most likely scrap the rest of the car. I remembered this forum and thought I might reach out to the community. Although I will not be keeping it, I would love to know that the car would live on. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I'd put it for sale, here first. If it doesen't sell, put it for public sale, at a price where it will be safe from Derbyists and idiots wanting to buy it only for the engine. Maybe, auction it off at a high enough reserve. If any private buyer looks serious and even happens to pull up with a restored example of the one you've got, then maybe let it go, at a reasonable price, being that it's more than likely it'll find a loving home

Beautiful car! I have the 1970 Electra Convertible. It's been a solid and reliable car for the last 41 years. Enjoy it!

    Indeed.

Duece, as another idea (just to throw it out there, I'm not saying it's the best option) you could try selling it to a classic car dealer who would put it up for sale at a much higher price.
