Saw this across the street from a restaurant we went to this evening. The price apparently depends on which side of the windshield you look at. The license plate sticker expired in June 2013, so it has been about 5 years since the car was last registered for daily driving.

Mid-50s Dodge in the background in the first photo. It did not have a For Sale sign on it.

Everything's for sale. It only depends on how much someone offers. He can get more for it, from people who go up and just ask.
Desert cars rust in unusual places, when they do. I'm definitely not a Chevy II fan. But, it's especially these types which are most tempting. I'd never buy one restored or just enough re-done from somebody else.
A childhood buddy was crazy about Chevy IIs and Novas. He liked fixing up his mom's '63 Chevy II (They weren't in any way poor. His dad ran a plant in Romulus Michigan and always drove fully loaded full-sized Pontiacs). So, you can imagine how their garage was equipped. He even built his own go-kart, at age 11.
His aunt and uncle one day just gave him their '66 Nova, because his uncle hated the car and regretted ever buying it new. He restored it and painted it himself, to keep as a daily driver, while other kids our age were trying to get muscle cars. It was red on red. Not bad for a second series of this type

The Nova is a 63-64 model year and not a 65. The other car is a mid 50's Dodge, not a Studebaker.

Not according to the '65 Chevy Brochures.

I misunderstood what you said. I thought you were saying that Novas were made only in '63 or '64, not that this car is a '63 or '64.

The headlight rims are also different. It looks like the grill, hood and headlights are flush, like the Chevelles were

My bad. Typo on my part. First word should have been "this" not "the". What I do when I first wake up on Sunday morning, I guess.

    It's not even a NOVA....................

The grill and badging, and lack of side moldings identify this unit as a 1963 Chevy II '100' sedan - the bargain-basement sedan in the Chevy II lineup that year. Above the '100' series was the '300' series, THEN the Nova and Nova SS at the top.

About two months later, and the car is still there with the same asking price. But he has a new friend, a '57 Ford Fairlane, also for sale. I started a separate thread for that one.

If it doesen't stop making new friends, there'll be no more room on that lot soon enough, since nothing's moving. He'll host the first New Mexico outdoor museum which cost's nothing to visit
