Well....thanks a lot, guys, for the wonderful and nostagic tour of cars I loved and remember well. FF...seriously.......You should gather all your pix and experiences together and write your OWN book. I mean that. A publisher would chomp at the bit for that kind of specialty publication. Gather the stuff together and spend your coffee time with a writer for as long as it takes. It would be a splendid book. And your colloquial delivery interespersed in the book would be a delight for all readers. You are a very talented guy and harbor a plethora of car experience. Consider it.
I is thinkin bout it....be an undertakin which would be uncharted waters fer me.... Thank's fer the input....
FF, you've done a lot of those for collectors. I used to caddy for wealthy golfers in Ottawa and Hull, PQ who drove them. You could write up a chapter about "The Sharks who drove the Fin Cars". I recall Bob Campeau (Campeau Construction in Ottawa) and Mr. Titley (Titley Real Estate) who bought new ones every year, outdoing each other with who had the most loaded Imperial. Campeau won out, when he got one of the italian-designed Lebaron Ghia Crown Imperials, and put a hitch on it to haul his little Amphibian car, so he could break from a game, cross the Ottawa River, for a quick meeting, and come back to finish. Campeau had a horrible slice in his Drive which he called the 'Banana Ball' and often threw his clubs into the next fairway or the river.
End of just one of many great stories from your repertoire, FF. Your book with your stories and pix and blurbs from you would be a welcomed edition to all car buffs.
Long as you enjoy me ramblings that all dat matter...Have a good one today...I is off to me hot tub and then to the shop where I put me car in yesterday to git it cleaned up....Also had cooler packed full of snow with goodies inserted into....Will get me warden moving and have a good day..
I was checking the truck's front wheels to see if the IMP gave the Tip-Trailer a new meaning. I'll bet the driver drooled...
I would have to go back and look in me book.....It is a maroon with no metallic in it.....I did it in B/C.....
We should all come with our own 'dictionary/lexicon' with all the acronyms we've picked up over the years.
