    Hi All!

I am looking to replace the springs in our wagon. I just want stock replacements. I have looked all over and can't really come up with them. It has the straight 6 engine. My old Moog catalog says p/n 6188 for the front, and 6309 for the rear. Those numbers don't seem to exist anymore. All I can find are springs for 8 cylinder engines for coups and sedans.

    Thanks for any help!

    Rick

    Hi Rick,

Do you have a way to check the spring rate, maybe a shop in town. Springs will sag with age (the car will sit lower) but the spring rate does not change (the amount of weight it takes to compress 1 inch). If you know the rate & height you might be able to match it up to something new.

http://www.eatonsprings.com/ They make them to exact oem specs using the correct steel that won't sag in 6 months like the Chinese and Mexican made springs that are available. However you will pay for the higher quality.

Also try "Springs and Things" in Pennsylvania. I got good leaf springs and coils from them.
