Here are my 2 favorite human powered rides Bike & rider has done Ragbri twice and last year did a week long 500 mile Montana Yellowstone trip that took us over the Beartooth Pass. Colnago AC-R with all Campy Record and Campy wheels, Carbon Frame. Any road bikers out there? View attachment 54348 Training bike - same brand slightly different geometry but rides the same Alum Frame, Ultegra gearing and brakes.
My problem is finding a cushioned seat wide enough for my fat @$$ without crushing my googlies, and a seat stanchion and handlebar stanchion to accomodate my excess height.
I had a Lemon Peeler when I was a wee lad; the front fork and tire were different from this one, though. the forks were longer and the front wheelwas a smaller diameter.
Yes everyone I had 1 of these too. yellowish orange with a 5 speed stick on the top, that at times would get very much in the way it you know what I mean!
Wow 500 mile trip! That is impressive. Good for you it takes a lot of endurance for that type of journey. I haven't been on a bike for a very long time. Every now and then I think I would like to try it again, I really used to enjoy peddling around. But then I wonder would I really use a bike if I purchased one???
Fannie growing up in mid town NYC - didn't have a choice but to bike, we didn't own a car. stopped riding back in 75 got my license and a car. My younger brother (60) has been in the bike business his entre life - so told him wanted to start riding again - he hooked me up and viola at 62 started it again! 40 years had never gotten on a bike and 8 months later rode across Iowa in the heat of the summer. Yes you can if you want thanks
No! If anyone catches me riding a bike across Iowa it'll be viola and I'll be playing some sad country music.
What's the difference between a trampoline and a viola? You're not allowed to jump up and down on a trampoline in golf shoes. I do have a mountain bike in storage, and with my worn-out knees, it'll be Hell pedaling. It's why I need a taller seat stanchion and handlebar rig, so that the angles won't punish my knees.
