I'm new here, so pardon any faux pas. I did look through the forum first to see if I could find an answer to my question, but came up empty. So here is the deal: I just picked up MY FIRST wagon ! Been lurking and looking for awhile now. I am pretty stoked about it. One problem: The wood trim on the exterior has a couple panels that are way less faded than the others. Kinda stick out like the proverbial 'sore thumb', (see pics)/ Question: Is there any techniques to bring the panels to matching up, at least a little better? I don't want to replace the wood decals, trying to keep the car as original as possible and new wood would not go with the rest of the car. Thanks for any advice.
Try aerospace 303, its made as a vinyl protectant, good for the "wood" trim, and really good for the entire interior (dash, seats, door panels, etc) anything with vinyl, rubber, or plastic. https://www.amazon.com/303-30313-CS...&qid=1489435239&sr=1-1&keywords=aerospace+303
Welcome. Just a guess. Looks to me like those two sectons were replaced with newer decals. No way the rest could have faded and those two look like new. I'd do as suggested plus look thru other threads about cleaning up old wagon wood siding. Several members have cleaned and darkened faded wood grain.
Can't help you on the paneling issue. but welcome just got me another 85 Colony Park in Dec - had been looking for 4 years congrats -
