For the tank, I don't know, but Google 'obsolete Ford parts.' That'll give you a good start on the sender and gauge.
Did that. Thanks but so far no luck. Are there any fuel tanks that are compatible, or is this just wishful thinking? I appreciate the reply.
I think the the only tank you're going to find is one out of another car, but you never know. What's wrong with your tank, sender and gauge?
Gauge gave up the ghost a few years ago. The tank had a mall leek. First thought it was a seal, but discovered that the tank itself is leaking. It appears that this happened years ago and someone put a bandaid on it. Seemed to have held up for a while until now.
The tank can actually be properly repaired if you're unable to find a suitable new or used replacement. As for the gauge, are you sure the gauge died, rather than the sender or the instrument cluster?
Good to know. I will look into that. I have not gotten that far with the sending unit. Will check. Cheers
Turn the ignition on and ground the sender wire. If the gauge and wiring are good, you'll see the needle go full deflection past 'F' and you're just looking at a bad connection to the sender or a bad sender.
