Actually, CE, I saw another Caprice Estate on my local CL. 1985/6, brown, 47k original, clean ride, I think they wanted 5k for it? Don't quote me, but I could try and look it up again if you (or anyone) is interested. I prefer the buick or olds myself.

As I'm typing this it's bid up to $12,100 US, how much do you reckon it will go for?

I doubt it will sell off Ebay but it's a good advertising vehicle to get exposure for the car. If everything the guy says about the car is true...50K or more wouldn't surprise me.

Wow!!, it look's the part though.
Since joining this forum I'm starting to change my way of thinking with cars. Lately I've just been updating to a new wag each couple of years but I now see the importance of maintaining the old cars.
I've already got my eye on a couple of early 60's Australian Ford & GMH wagons as restoration jobs?!:scratchchin:

My only true preference is wood-panelled and big. I don't care if it's GM, FoMoCo, or MoPar. I like those big boats.

The wagon did not meet the reserve of $21500!

You mean, I believe, that $21,500 did not meet whatever the reserve was.

Yeah. I didn't see a reserve on this run.

Yeah...that seems odd....come RIGHT back on again after it was at $21,500 and start at 8K?
    EDIT:
OH...I think I was WAY off...I said I thought the guy might want 50K for the car. Last auction he had lowered the reserve toward the end to try and lure more bidders....I'm now thinking he wants under 30K ... maybe. It's an interesting car but it's not a stock resto so it's hard to say what he wants or what it could go for. I was basing my guess originally on the fact that it's a cool car and it's a Chevy.
