Hey all from Northern New Jersey! Happy to join the forum! I've been searching for a good wagon for about a year now and came across this Ford posted on Craigslist. 390 under the hood, 81k original miles.
Welcome aboard, nice wagon. I think I have seen other videos of that car on youtube. Did it come from a mechanic training school or something similar? Seems to be familiar. Cheers
Same wagon! The video was recorded at a high school. The teacher that picked it up kept it there after finding it at an estate sale.
Good stuff, thought as much! It looks pretty solid from the pics/videos. Have you got major plans for it??
Overall the body and interior are good - it's been in a garage for 27+ years. Wheels and possibly suspension will first on the list. Trying to keep it as clean as possible
Awesome, I'm a fan of original as possible too. I understand people who want bags and fats etc but it's just not my thing. Over here, my Fairlane wag is pretty 'uncommon' and draws enough attention by itself without having major mods done. (and still really original too) The only changes I plan on making are minor like perhaps front discs (Still has 4 drums) and a nicer sounding exhaust! The rest will be on restoring the interior and eventually new paint. I've got a few more pics on Instagram @66fairlane500wagon. Good luck with yours, hope to see more of it as you work in it Cheers
Welcome! That is a nice looking wagon. I hope you are able to enjoy it while making it just the way you want it.
Great Wagon, I was trying to get my buddy to buy that car.He bought a 66 Galaxie instead anyhow I'd say you got a great deal on it. Good luck with it.
Welcome aboard! Looks like a nice, solid, straight car to start off with. A cool set of wheels and a good polish, it should look bitchin'. Keep us up to date on your progress.
