So does he need to turn in his membership card now and do we need to change the secret handshake? He'll be back.. He'll miss us and want back in.. Oh if only we would make the right decisions NOW instead of later.. can you tell I have an 18 year old son and have used that line many times? :slap:

    Ah, YES!

Knowing Ian, having met him may times and talk/text him often I can pretty much say that your 18 year old son is more mature.....

well, good. so i started off in a totally different direction. I bought a 1965 jeep Tuxedo Park IV. Its Pretty much a CJ5A that was designed to be more for the "active suburbanite" It is a 1 stick transfer case and a 3 on the tree.
as of right now.. she is roadlegal and mechanically sound...but needs major restoration work. but for $2500 and a rare jeep...Its a simple vehicle to restore so...here we go. pics when i drive it home later.

    Old thread re-hash.......

Some time back, Ian was looking for Tiki again. It's been through a few owners - seen ads for it. Seems to have disappeared in the last year or so. We did a thread back then about finding it for him. No luck.

If you see it, let him know. Beige/gold color, chrome reverse wheels, floor shift mod in the interior, and of course, those quarter window stickers all over....

So what happened to that hippy dippy Heepster you were buying, you know, for the faux four-wheeler suburbanite?

I bought it. I had it for 3 months because I let my "friends" ball bust me into getting rid of it. I then bought a 1987 jeep Comanche 4cyl that I had for a year...and had intended on keeping it. But a friend had a cj7 for sale. So I sold it quick to buy that. It had a brake lockup issue that I couldn't figure out. So I got pissed and sold it. ...bought a 65 pontiac that I liked...but kept having carb issues. And...it just wasn't me. So off it went....swapped it straight up for a 93 jeep wrangler with a chevy 350. Well, that conversion ended up being mickey moused....and having carb problems. So I said "f-it" and went back to what works....kinda.

Rule #1: Never ever let your friends push you into a decision you'll later regret. They may "ball bust" you, but you make the ultimate decision.
Rule #2: Stick with what works. Especially if the problem child's problem is the main safety gear not correctly working. BTW, did the lockup Heep have RABS?
