Amphi-Trailer? I'm visualizing a whole lot of trouble here....

The Amphicar was pretty slow in the water. Might have trouble making ANY headway with this rig.......

I see some kind of a wake. Hell, the Schwimmwagen only did about 7 MPH on water. Schwimmwagen-5.jpg

I guess ANY progress is still 'progress'. Would be OK in calm water, or going downstream. If you have to go UPSTREAM, I guess there's still the road......

I used to change to a tubular grille in most cars back when I was a real hotrodder and had my JCWhitney catalog.
Even the 1987 Chevy van I moved to Florida with and drove for seven years I'd changed to a tubular grille.

About the Amphicar, if I had those three gals with me there'd be no hurry to reach land.

Amazingly how few there were I remember two often putting in at the foot of our main street at the river launch.
Even here in Florida our son worked on one and drove it down the Suwannee River.

Looks like a couple of my Tonkas from back in the day. Even rode my first (of two) Mighty Tonka yellow dump trucks down the slide at Navy Housing. You know, the really tall ones that got to a thousand degrees on a hot Summer day? Well, I rode down, launched, and broke all four wheels off when I landed. Mom certainly was cross with me about that, as I rode it down the stairs from the upstairs at our previous house and nearly killed myself then, which was a year and a half before.

My brother sold a house painter I worked for one of those Ford carbon monoxide boxes. An ex-con with ten teenagers, a lot of ladders and a van painting the outside of houses in the worst neighborhoods in town with rollers, no joke. Those were the days. :D
Years ago I had a basement full of Mighty Tonka Dump trucks. A local discount department store chain closed down and they were clearing everything out so I went to every store and got them for five bucks each. I made good money off them on evilbay, never took a ride on one. I still have one and a little Tonka bulldozer/backhoe for the grandkids but my daughter says the edges are too sharp and she won't let her kids play with them.:D

The edges are not too sharp!!! SOB, I get so damned tired of NIMBY naysayers, just because a toy has metal and 90* bends. They are specifically designed and built to not accidentally injure a child. Now having said that, a good parent will patiently explain to their child or children the toys are not to be used to deliberately injure others, and bad consequences will come down on the child who does.

My apologies. I get so damned irritated at those who speak without knowing what they say is false. I should make a video with my grand nephew's yellow dump truck and show that injury only occurs when stupid things are done. Like riding down a slide on one....
