more over-priced "collector" cars: '60 Volkswagen Beetle - Aguanga, CA

This car shows up on the "most watched" collector cars section of eBay.

I don't care if it is/was owned by Ewan McGregor. I still think it looks ugly.

Current bid $23,100. Way over-priced. Even if it does have "patina".

So that's what Obi-wan Kenobi drives?? "He'll "autograph" the title...big deal, other than being in bad bogus prequel Star Wars movies nobody would know who the guy is. I'm waiting for a Star Wars babies movie, they do it with everything else, would little Darth Vader wear black diapers???
I know it's a VW with I.R.S but that's mucho negative camber on those back wheels, looks like the car is going to fall over.

 

That's an ugly $3100 VW with dents in need of paint and wheels. If it weren't wet it would probably look dull and sick.......er!

I've never heard of Ewan McGregor and if Elvis owned it I still wouldn't pay over $3100.

 

Apparently he's a guy who jumps around with a fluorescent light fixture in his hand wearing a bathrobe. But I don't quite get it.

 

I had a trouble light like that. But my wife wouldn't let me go out in the garage in my bathrobe.
If I had done it my station wagon would be worth a fortune.

 

I have one I did , I think it looks a bit better than this ,and hell I would sell it for the same price .

But I rubbed all the patina off.

 

If you have a fluorescent light fixture and wear a bathrobe I may be interested.

 

This worries me a bit.

 

It's not wet, it's clearcoated to seal in the "patina". One of those hot rod subcultures.

 

Maybe but look at the brick road and the side walk. Obviously now the seat is wet. Down to $2100.

 

You west coasters are always thinking kinky thoughts. I have a friend who is as old as I am and he runs around his yard in a bathrobe all the time.
Maybe the fluorescent light fixture has you worried.
